Indigenous Women In Leadership
This workshop has been developed specifically for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander women to build or improve on leaderships skills, and to understand the difference between Leadership and Management. The program will provide an opportunity for participants to first understand their current abilities and strengths, and how to utilise them to become a more effective leader.
Further to identify weaknesses and how to build on competencies to become a more effective leader. Communication is considered an essential component of good Leadership, albeit good communication skills are subjective and can differ across cultural domains.
The workshop will highlight how culture greatly influences Leadership styles and how to be more mindful of how culture can sometimes govern Leadership styles. The course will primarily focus on learning to Lead both effectively and authentically.
