The Cultural Immersion program has been designed to provide participants with a greater understanding of Noongar people, Noongar culture, both past and present and is an “on country” experience.

 

The workshop content expands on information generally presented in a classroom based workshop, but more so addresses some of the many questions participants have in regards to the everyday lives of Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia.

 

Further it provides an opportunity to explore different perspectives and provides an extension of existing knowledge and to gain another view of country and better understand “Aboriginal” connection to country, both spiritually and physically. Participants are shown various bush plants that are used as food or medicine and to how tools and artifacts were used.
